	I'm sorry not to be able to make a more substantial contribution
to the fund for the Edward Teller Distinguished Visiting Scholar
in Science, Technology and Public Policy.  However, I want to give
something out of respect for Dr. Teller and because I think
the Scholarship can be an important addition to the Hoover
Institution's opportunities for serving humanity.  I have been
involved peripherally with the Values, Technology and Society
program at Stanford, and I think there is a tendency for its
people to be rather anti-technology.
